The controversial Private Security Industry Regulation Amendment Bill (“the Bill”) was passed in 2014, but has remained unsigned by the President. However, the Bill was put back on the agenda when State Security Minister David Mahlobo delivered his 2017/18 budget vote speech to parliament on 23 May 2017.
