The Suggested National Minimum Wage (NMW) - What are the implications and Exemptions?

On 8 February 2017, Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that representatives of government, business, the communities and two of the three labour federations[1], represented at The National Economic Development and Labour Council (Nedlac), have concluded an agreement on the introduction of a National Minimum Wage (NMW) with effective date of May 2018.
